Miss Martin
My name is Erin Martin. I was born and raised in the Olean area. So far, I have attended Olean High School, Jamestown Community College, and St. Bonaventure University to complete my educational studies. I am currently certified to teach early childhood education, childhood education, and students with disabilities. My mission as an educator is to provide a safe, inclusive learning environment in which all students can learn, grow, and succeed. I believe engagement and excitement lie at the heart of learning. Therefore, I strive to create learning opportunities that spark curiosity and questioning among my students. I understand that my classes are made up of diverse learners, who all have their own individual backgrounds and experiences. I use those individual backgrounds and experiences to make my lessons relevant and meaningful to my students. In order to help my students achieve their goals and become lifelong learners, I focus on teaching my students essential life skills such as problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, empathy, and collaboration while learning the fifth-grade curriculum. I am excited to continue my educational journey while working directly with my students, coworkers, mentors, administrators, families, and community members!
