Greetings to all!  Let me share a little bit about myself with you.  I have a different background than most teachers might. I'm from Little Valley originally and graduated from Alfred University with a B.A. in Chemistry. I went into industry to become a chemist directly out of college.  I worked in the food industry (we made Walmart brand food items taste like the name brand items).  I then moved into the pharmaceutical industries of Procter & Gamble and Bristol Myers Squibb in Central New York.  I met my husband while there and we both moved into management positions at the 3rd largest dairy cooperative (Friesland Campina) in the world.  After we got married and decided to have kids, we wanted to move back to the area to be near my family.  I decided to become a teacher and share my love of science with others.  After going back to school and getting my Master's degree from SBU in Differentiated Instruction, I now have my NYS certification to teach General Science and Chemistry.  Hooray!  I joined OHS in 2019 and can't wait to continue to teach and reach many students. It is my desire to give each student the ability to think critically, ask questions in an open environment and promote positive learning. I care deeply for all my students and am so happy to be a Husky!
