Junior Year-What to expect/how to prepare

 

 

October 2020-Juniors should sign up for the PSAT (Pre School Ability Test) which is a pre-test for the SAT exam that Juniors will take later in the Junior year and the Senior year.  Students can sign up in the Guidance Office for a minimal fee which is about $18.00.

 

College bound Juniors should begin taking the SAT/ACT exams which are offered several times throughout the year.  Registration for the SAT and ACT can only be completed online.  Students can register for the SAT exam at www.collegeboard.org and the ACT exam at www.act.org.  The SAT and ACT exams are used by colleges for admission purposes.

Students should begin to think about a college major based on future goals and interests and research colleges that offer those majors. 

 

Spring-Begin visiting colleges, call for open house dates and times, call and schedule a college tour, check college websites!
